At Paris Fashion Week, Chanel’s Fall 2020 Unveils Freedom For The Modern Woman

A show that we always look forward to at Paris fashion Week: Chanel Fall 2020 Ready-To-Wear. Taking inspiration from its acclaimed archives, Chanel debuted a fantastic collection with a graceful mix of strong, bold, yet a contrast of soft and exquisite shapes and proportions, in Grand Palais on a graceful Parisian morning.

All the details at the Chanel FW/20 show

During the Chanel Fall 2020 show, some girls came out in pairs or groups of three, and it was refreshing to see them smiling and chatting to each other like conspiratorial friends, wearing unpretentious clothes that seemed to have stepped right out of their wardrobes to make sense for modern lives.

Chanel’s creative director, Virginie Viard, acclaimed the notion of “freedom” in this collection. That idea of liberation translated into a collection of free-willed, feminine pieces, that embraced Chanel’s house codes, and at the same time, reinforced Virginie Viard’s own pragmatic instincts for comfortable, effortless, practical glamour.

Of course, we had strong shoulders and bold cuts that affirm a strong woman’s presence, and you almost think to yourself: “Wow. That woman carries herself with such style and grace”. That is the Chanel woman.

It is without a doubt that when you think Chanel, you think ethereal. Intricate tweed details, with implemented pearly details that make a Chanel piece instantly noticeable from a mile away. Beautiful luscious colours like cream, grey, blush pink, lime green, its soft, yet its make a statement with the quality craftsmanship of the handmade trimmings that just take Chanel pieces to another level.

What’s more, is the illusion of the leg-of-mutton sleeve on a loose-fit jacket which added an Edwardian gloriousness and hard romance to the collection. View full collection here
